JASIN 1 Sept. - Dalam memberi kemudahan kepada penduduk di tujuh kawasan di daerah ini menyambut Hari Raya Aidilfitri, sebuah bas Panorama berhawa dingin dan cukup selesa.
Bas yang disumbangkan oleh Syarikat Pembangunan Pertanian Melaka berharga RM260,000 itu akan diuruskan oleh Majlis Perbandaran Jasin (MPJ).
Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pengangkutan, Penerangan, Perpaduan dan Pengguna negeri, Datuk Ghazale Mohamad berkata, penduduk di tujuh kawasan terbabit boleh menggunakan perkhidmatan bas khususnya sepanjang sambutan Aidilfitri.
Menurutnya, dengan adanya perkhidmatan bas itu yang pertama kali diperluaskan di luar bandar raya Melaka, ia akan memberi kemudahan khusus buat penduduk yang tidak mempunyai kenderaan persendirian untuk pergi ke pekan Jasin.
''Ini pasti khabar gembira buat penduduk yang sebelum ini merungut kerana tidak ada perkhidmatan bas awam yang beroperasi di tujuh kawasan tersebut.
''Laluan itu sebenarnya tidak memberi keuntungan tetapi demi untuk memberi keselesaan kepada penduduk, MPJ sanggup membiayai operasi perkhidmatan bas ini," katanya selepas merasmikan perkhidmatan bas itu di Terminal Bas dan Teksi Jasin di sini, baru-baru ini.
Turut hadir Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Syarikat Pembangunan Pertanian Melaka, Hashim Isa dan Pengarah Syarikat PMCT Sdn. Bhd., Wahid Abdul Majid.
Perkhidmatan bas tersebut akan melalui Kesang Tua, Kesang Pajak, Selandar, Kampung Bukit Senggeh, Kampung Ju dan Kolej Komuniti.
Menurut Ghazale, sebagai permulaan hanya sebuah bas akan digunakan dan jika ia mendapat sambutan baik, MPJ dijangka menambah beberapa buah bas untuk menampung keperluan penduduk di situ.
Beliau berkata, bas itu akan mula beroperasi kira-kira pukul 6.30 pagi dan berakhir pada pukul 5 petang dengan perjalanan sejam sekali.
Ujarnya, bagi kanak-kanak di bawah usia 12 tahun, orang kurang upaya (OKU), pelajar sekolah beruniform dan warga emas dikenakan tiket RM1 manakala dewasa dikenakan bayaran RM2.
KUALA LUMPUR: Jumlah kenderaan di semua laluan Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan (PLUS) mulai bertambah semalam dan pengguna diingatkan supaya bersabar dan bertolak ansur ketika menuju ke destinasi masing-masing pada musim perayaan ini.
Petugas Pusat Kawalan Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan berkata, peningkatan jumlah kenderaan dapat dilihat semalam namun, keadaan masih lagi terkawal dan hanya menyebabkan beberapa laluan yang keadaan trafiknya bergerak perlahan.
"Contohnya di Plaza Tol Juru menghala ke Kuala Lumpur yang kita dapati terdapat baris panjang sejak pagi tadi (semalam) dan dijangka berlarutan hingga ke petang.
"Laluan lain terkawal dan pergerakan lancar walaupun jumlah pertambahan kenderaan meningkat. Pengguna perlu bersabar ketika terlibat dalam mana-mana kesesakan (jika ada)," katanya ketika dihubungi Bernama semalam.
Katanya tiada kemalangan serius berlaku kecuali kemalangan kecil yang berlaku di KM62.9 Simpang Renggam ke Machap melibatkan tiga kenderaan pagi semalam.
Dalam perkembangan berkaitan, 17 kematian jalan raya dicatatkan pada hari kesembilan Ops Sikap 24 kelmarin, menjadikan jumlah angka kematian 166 orang.
Menurut jurucakap trafik Bukit Aman, 14 kematian membabitkan penunggang dan pembonceng motosikal, dua melibatkan pengguna kereta dan satu pengguna motovan.
Beliau berkata jumlah kemalangan di seluruh negara semalam melibatkan 1,036 kes, dan sebanyak 4,832 saman dikeluarkan kepada pesalah trafik atas pelbagai kesalahan. — Bernama

Hi peeps, it's been ages since I'd managed to dragged my lazy bum to write again..Of late, I've been doing a massive amount of thinking, BUT which is neither good nor bad indication, just thinking...and thinking..
Hectic work and planning is just a part of everyone's daily life's routine, right? Hmm...let's not get stuck there on that kinda discussion yeah...I know, I know...there's so many things I've been putting off in turning it into words and to share with whoever that stumbles here to read what I wrote....I promise to keep it up, okies! (*fingers crossed at the back*)
What I am gonna start to write about is something that MOST people: men, women, kids, uncle, aunty, or watever would frown and laugh whenever I tell them this..yes, I do FISH. I enjoy every moment of it. But hated it if the place is some uncivilized place with leeches encounters (i hate leeches!!, that's why..)
Ok,ok..back to the topic...heheh...I dun actually mind how people perceive me, that kinda explain about my dun give you a darn attitude most of the time...
On the spur, my miao (my bf and I have no idea why I call him that also >.<'') came up with the idea to bring me for some light jigging, at Port Dickson. Apparently it is getting popular nowadays that exact spot of Tanjung Tuan and the surrounding area of it. Some phone calls away we have booked ourselves a good tekong, a boat and set the date for the trip.
As I've been forever nagging him to bring me along (*combo with sad puppy eyes one okie!*) to some sea adventures....he still never let me tag along, reasoning with me deep sea is difficult for women and the sea is rough and etc...okielah, not everytime he said kenot, sometimes is my own schedule..hahahhaa...
Cutting the story short, we went to geared up and stocking some armies (jigz weighing between 60-100grams) before the day comes by.
As I know Tanjung Tuan is a good light jigging spot, not too far away from shoreline and not too tolling on somebody like me (NOOB).

Pretty ain't it? Anywayz, we were to meet the tekong for departure at 8am on the day itself at a small fishing departure point or something at a place called Telok Kemang. Most of the fishing / jigging trip depart from here I supposed.

Once we are ready, we set out to the sea..sorry no pictures of the sea, which is windy with lots of waves... T.T Now I have been on a boat / speedboat and whatsoever before either for work or for leisure, but things that I've never experienced before...staying in the middle of the sea: bobbing to the tunes of the waves... I know, double sick to the stomach...I am trying to be brave and encourage myself by pretending that I will not get sea-sick...
Wahahahaaa.....BUT....!! I am so wrong... T.T'' Right like 5mins after we stopped at the first pit stop out on the open sea...I feel dizzy...and nauseous..I just had enough time to grab (*blush*) and gulp down some sea sickness / motion sickness medicines..BOY I am so glad we had it along...and abang shah the tekong pity me....I can even feel my face turning green...hahahahaa......so we switched place.
We went near to the lighthouse and began our jiggingz....Well, remember the picture in part 1: the pretty scenery...that's the spot we jig and jig...
We were lucky the weather was surprisingly good considering the heavy rainfall of late. Windy even with the scorching sun makes it bearable even to someone like me, who's forever sweating!
Anyhow, we jig and jig and suddenly abang shah jig's was pulled....and:
*voila! Little baby grouper...which has been released back safe and sound..hehhe*
and the energy got buzzing, with the mood which is cheery and light...I still think and belief when you are happie the fishes will comes along too...hahahha...dumb la me! o.O
Around noon with no more signs of fishes as the sun is shining brightly, we decided to go back for lunch and a short break...don't ask me why no pictures of my lunch and toilet (of cuz there's a toilet!) or our lunch place, as I am simply too tired. Just want to sit there and drink icy cool drink...hahahahah...sorrriieee..
About 2 something we went to continue our jiggingz..and......here comes the goodies....

I've heard numerous times before, first timer for jigging trip might come back with empty hand...hahaha...but I am still looking on the bright side yeah!

And my mood wasn't dampened, I am a newbie to jigging larr..what do you expect..and it doesn't disappoint me, NOT at all..by that time, I was planning on the return trip to get a fish with jig...(Making up my mind and convincing myself that I am not gonna get any fish this trip, but without feeling of disappointment, really one!).
The slight tug, and the pulling, just not so strong..and being a NOOB that I am, I wasn't sure and should also say I didn't dare to belief that I got a fish on the other end of my line!!!!

I hooked up an okay sized grouper...! My license for jigging, yeah man! I cannot wipe out the grin on my silly face...happiness.....
We jig more and by the time we made our way back, the sun was setting...seems like there's an additional jiggerz now to the fishing society..hahahaha...I want to come back for more...I want the GT!!
No amount of motion sickness, no amount of sun burning, skin peeling (aftermath), fear of standing up freestyle on a rocking boat (without safety jacket, even though I can swim, still scary la) and other issues will keep me from coming back again..!
Oh yeah..I will be there again! This weekend~!! *stupid grin on face, AGAIN...taahahahhaha*
Ahli Jawatankuasa Umno Jasin Roslan Ahmad (gambar) dinamakan sebagai calon Barisan Nasional (BN) untuk pilihan raya kecil kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Melaka kawasan Merlimau, umum Timbalan Perdana Menteri Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin di Merlimau di sini hari ini.
Roslan adalah Pengurus Pembangunan Perniagaan Sosioekonomi Perbadanan Melaka Holdings Sdn Bhd.
Pemilihan Roslan, 44, yang juga ahli jawatankuasa Umno Bahagian Jasin diumumkan oleh Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin di Pekan Merlimau, Melaka hari ini.
Pengumuman tersebut dibuat di Pusat Operasi BN, di Jalan Jasin di sini.
Kerusi DUN Merlimau kosong berikutan kematian wakil rakyatnya, Datuk Mohamad Hidhir Abu Hassan pada 20 Januari lepas akibat serangan jantung.
Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya telah menetapkan 6 Mac depan sebagai tarikh pengundian, manakala penamaan calon pada 26 Februari ini.
Pada pilihan raya umum 2008, Mohd Hidhir menang dengan majoriti 2,154 undi menewaskan calon PAS, Jasme Tompang.

ALOR GAJAH 1 Sept – Rakyat patut menolak parti Pas pada pilihan raya umum akan datang berikutan kenyataan kontroversi yang dicetuskan oleh Timbalan Presidennya, Mohamad Sabu berhubung tragedi Bukit Kepong.
Ketua Menteri Melaka, Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam berkata, kenyataan Mohamad Sabu atau lebih dikenali sebagai Mat Sabu baru-baru ini dilihat menghina pejuang kemerdekaan dan sebaliknya memuliakan gerila komunis.
"Dia (Mat Sabu) sepatutnya memohon maaf kepada pejuang negara dan rakyat atas kenyataannya itu," katanya kepada pemberita pada Majlis Rumah Terbuka Aidilfitri Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Tanjung Bidara, Datuk Abd Karim Sulaiman di Tanjung Bidara dekat sini, hari ini.
Mohd Ali, yang juga Pengerusi Badan Perhubungan UMNO Negeri, berkata, tanpa pengorbanan pejuang negara terdahulu seperti polis, tentera dan pemimpin, sudah tentu negara tidak mencapai kemerdekaan. – Bernama

Lokasi yang di tuju adalah durian tunggal.
Cik Izah ade 2 jemputan dan nasib baik dua-dua nye kat durian tunggal. So takyah lah berpusing jauh-jauh. (padahal sesat jugak mulanye...huhuhu).
Oh ya sempat la amik gambau dengan pengantin tapi tak banyak. Rumah yang kedua tak sempat amik gambau dengan camera sendiri sebab mase tu pengantin sibuk bergambau gek.

Pada bulan Julai yang lalu, suami saya dan rakan-rakan sekerjanya iaitu Lotfee dan Ruhiyati telah berkursus di Hotel Emperor Melaka selama 4 hari dan 3 malam. Semasa berkursus, jadualnya agak lapang pada waktu malamnya, maka suami saya dan rakan-rakannya ini telah pergi menjelajah mencari hidangan yang lazat dan enak.
Pada 18 Julai 2011 perjalanan dimulakan dengan mencari hidangan masak asam pedas. Menurut suami saya memang best betul. Katanya, kuah asam pedas tu sampai boleh hiruplah! Suami saya ni bukannya suka sangat makan asam pedas (makan tu makan, cuma tak adalah sampai jadi favourite) tapi katanya lepas makan tu memang sedap. Katanya, nama kedai tu, Restoran Asam Pedas Kak Mona. Yang membawa dia orang ke restoran ni sepupu kepada si Lotfee, nama dia Azroi ( atau panggilan mesranya Aloi).
Kemudiannya pada 19 Julai pulak, suami saya pergi ke Umbai. Suami saya kata kalau makan kat Star Fresh tu, memang sedaplah Prawn Butter nya. Tapi yang tak boleh lawan di Umbai, udangnya fresh betul. So, kesemua gambar di sana telah sempat dirakamkan. So, mahu tak mahu lain kali, suami saya kena jugak bawak saya ke sana pulak. Okay, so, jom kita tengok gambar-gambar masa mereka kat sana!
Seafarers from all over the world have sailed through the waters of Malay archipelago for centuries. Some of their vessels succumbed to inclement weather, leaks or attack and ended at the bottom of the sea. Many came from China, the Middle East, as well as within the Malay archipelago."The ship wrecks are like time capsules, each with their own tales to tell," National Museum director-general Datuk Ibrahim Ismail told Bernama after holding a news conference on the exhibition entitled 'The Miracle of Shipwreck Treasures,' at the National Museum here recently.
Ibrahim noted that the emergence of Melaka as a trading hub in the 15th and 16th centuries that attracted merchants from around the world.
"No surprise that some of the thousands of ships that crossed the seas to Melaka had sunk before reaching their destination. That is why the nation's waters are rich with the treasures from the ship wrecks," he said.
He added that efforts to search and recover ship wrecks in Malaysian territorial waters have been underway since the 1980s.
The discovery of the sunken wreck of Risdam by a Singapore citizen on Apr 24, 1984 off the coast of Mersing in Johor ignited interest in ship wrecks around the country.
Risdam is believed to have sunk on Jan 1, 1727.
The Dutch East Indies (VOC) vessel was 46 metres long, 15 metres wide, and 12 metres high.
Further, he said, the maritime archaeological work was carried out by the Johor museum authorities assisted by divers from the navy and the National Museum.
Among the items recovered were tin ingots, ivory, timber, and urns.
Another sunken ship, Diana, was discovered on Dec 21, 1993 by members of the Malaysian Historical Salvors (MHS) at the Melaka Straits.
The government outsourced Diana's salvage operations to MHS.
"Most of the artifacts recovered from the wrecks were ceramics, some 11 tonnes of them that included plates, bowls, and tea sets. Some 24,000 white and blue China porcelain items were also recovered," he said.
Ibrahim indicated other items recovered from the wreck were herbs, such as green tea, ginseng, ginger, and rhubarb, as well as benzoin and glass beads.
The Malaysian Museum embarked on recovering ship wrecks in 1995 when its salvage team began to retrieve items from the sunken Dutch warship Nassau.
"Nassau sank some 5 kilometres off the Port Dickson coast, Negeri Sembilan. It was believed to have sunk on Aug 16 in the battle at Cape Rachado with Portuguese ships," he said.
Cape Rachado is now known as Tanjung Tuan.
The salvage operation took place between August and December 1995 with the assistance from Transea Sdn Bhd, Mensun Bound, and Oxford University.
He said equipment like 'magnometer' and 'side scan sonar' were used to detect some 5,000 artifacts from the vessel that included muskets, anchors, bullets and ceramics.
The same year, another Chinese merchant ship, Nanyang that was believed to have gone down in 1380, was discovered in the waters near Pulau Pemanggil, Mersing, Johor.
The wreck was found 54 metres under the sea.
"This ship exemplified a typical Chinese and Southeast Asia architecture and was 18 metres long and had a mast 5 metres high," Ibrahim pointed out.
He said the vessel's design gave some indication of the type of work ship builders were carrying out in Terengganu at the time.
However, research on the wreck has yet to be carried out.
"400 ceramic items had been retrieved so far. Among the items recovered were pots, small bowls, earthen ware and huge urns with Sisatchanalai patterns," he said.
Sisatchanalai is an area in Thailand which was a centre for ceramics production in the 14th century.
Another shipwreck found in 1995 was the Royal Nanhai.
Believed to be a royal barge from China that sunk in 1460.
The Royal Nanhai was found in international waters some 40 nautical miles from the Peninsula's east coast and 46 metres under the sea.
The move to salvage items from the 28 metre-long wreck began in May 1998.
The barge was carrying a special consignment of five blue and white ceramic bowls from China.
"The bowls were found in a secret compartment on the barge. They were believed to be from the reign of Jingtaij Tienshun between 1450 and 1464," he explained.
Ibrahim said black-tinted lacquer boxes, ivory sword handles, and a minister's stamp made of bronze with an elephant-shaped handle were among the items recovered.
Another barge, Xuande, found in 1996 some 60 nautical miles from the Terengganu coast was believed to be carrying out a special task for China's Emperor before it went down.
"Six porcelain items recovered from the sunken barge were with markings of Emperor Xuande, who ruled from 1425 to 1436. Also found were porcelain items believed to be made in the 16th century," he said.
In the same salvage operation, Portuguese cannons made from bronze, 170 blue-white China porcelain pieces, and 130 under-glazed ceramics from Sisatchanalai and Sukhothai were recovered.
He said the ship was believed to have sunk in 1540 and, based on its framework, made from soft timber.
Another sunken Chinese barge 'Longquan' was found in 1996, thought to have gone down in 1400.
It was found 63 metres under the sea and 23 nautical miles from the Terengganu coast.
"The vessel was believed to be from the Ming Dynasty era between 1368 and 1644. With a size of 30 metres long, the barge was the biggest shipwreck found in South China Sea," said Ibrahim.
Ibrahim added that about 40 per cent of the ceramics found in the sunken vessel were believed to have come from China, another 20 per cent from Sisatchanalai and an additional 20 per cent from Sukhothai.
"The discovery of ceramics in the ship wrecks has an important historical relevance. Archaeologists had earlier thought that Sukhotai was only exporting ceramics on a small scale, as compared to Sisatchanalai. But it turned out that Sukhotai was a major exporter of ceramics in Southeast Asia at that time," Ibrahim stated.

KUALA LUMPUR: Seafarers from all over the world have sailed through the waters of Malay archipelago for centuries.
Some of their vessels succumbed to inclement weather, leaks or attack and ended at the bottom of the sea.
Many came from China, the Middle East, as well as within the Malay archipelago.
"The ship wrecks are like time capsules, each with their own tales to tell," National Museum director-general Datuk Ibrahim Ismail told Bernama after holding a news conference on the exhibition entitled 'The Miracle of Shipwreck Treasures,' at the National Museum here recently.
Ibrahim noted that the emergence of Melaka as a trading hub in the 15th and 16th centuries that attracted merchants from around the world.
"No surprise that some of the thousands of ships that crossed the seas to Melaka had sunk before reaching their destination. That is why the nation's waters are rich with the treasures from the ship wrecks," he said.
He added that efforts to search and recover ship wrecks in Malaysian territorial waters have been underway since the 1980s.
The discovery of the sunken wreck of Risdam by a Singapore citizen on Apr 24, 1984 off the coast of Mersing in Johor ignited interest in ship wrecks around the country.
Risdam is believed to have sunk on Jan 1, 1727.
The Dutch East Indies (VOC) vessel was 46 metres long, 15 metres wide, and 12 metres high.
Further, he said, the maritime archaeological work was carried out by the Johor museum authorities assisted by divers from the navy and the National Museum.
Among the items recovered were tin ingots, ivory, timber, and urns.
Another sunken ship, Diana, was discovered on Dec 21, 1993 by members of the Malaysian Historical Salvors (MHS) at the Melaka Straits.
The government outsourced Diana's salvage operations to MHS.
"Most of the artifacts recovered from the wrecks were ceramics, some 11 tonnes of them that included plates, bowls, and tea sets. Some 24,000 white and blue China porcelain items were also recovered," he said.
Ibrahim indicated other items recovered from the wreck were herbs, such as green tea, ginseng, ginger, and rhubarb, as well as benzoin and glass beads.
The Malaysian Museum embarked on recovering ship wrecks in 1995 when its salvage team began to retrieve items from the sunken Dutch warship Nassau.
"Nassau sank some 5 kilometres off the Port Dickson coast, Negeri Sembilan. It was believed to have sunk on Aug 16 in the battle at Cape Rachado with Portuguese ships," he said.
Cape Rachado is now known as Tanjung Tuan.
The salvage operation took place between August and December 1995 with the assistance from Transea Sdn Bhd, Mensun Bound, and Oxford University.
He said equipment like 'magnometer' and 'side scan sonar' were used to detect some 5,000 artifacts from the vessel that included muskets, anchors, bullets and ceramics.
The same year, another Chinese merchant ship, Nanyang that was believed to have gone down in 1380, was discovered in the waters near Pulau Pemanggil, Mersing, Johor.
The wreck was found 54 metres under the sea.
"This ship exemplified a typical Chinese and Southeast Asia architecture and was 18 metres long and had a mast 5 metres high," Ibrahim pointed out.
He said the vessel's design gave some indication of the type of work ship builders were carrying out in Terengganu at the time.
However, research on the wreck has yet to be carried out.
"400 ceramic items had been retrieved so far. Among the items recovered were pots, small bowls, earthen ware and huge urns with Sisatchanalai patterns," he said.
Sisatchanalai is an area in Thailand which was a centre for ceramics production in the 14th century.
Another shipwreck found in 1995 was the Royal Nanhai.
Believed to be a royal barge from China that sunk in 1460.
The Royal Nanhai was found in international waters some 40 nautical miles from the Peninsula's east coast and 46 metres under the sea.
The move to salvage items from the 28 metre-long wreck began in May 1998.
The barge was carrying a special consignment of five blue and white ceramic bowls from China.
"The bowls were found in a secret compartment on the barge. They were believed to be from the reign of Jingtaij Tienshun between 1450 and 1464," he explained.
Ibrahim said black-tinted lacquer boxes, ivory sword handles, and a minister's stamp made of bronze with an elephant-shaped handle were among the items recovered.
Another barge, Xuande, found in 1996 some 60 nautical miles from the Terengganu coast was believed to be carrying out a special task for China's Emperor before it went down.
"Six porcelain items recovered from the sunken barge were with markings of Emperor Xuande, who ruled from 1425 to 1436. Also found were porcelain items believed to be made in the 16th century," he said.
In the same salvage operation, Portuguese cannons made from bronze, 170 blue-white China porcelain pieces, and 130 under-glazed ceramics from Sisatchanalai and Sukhothai were recovered.
He said the ship was believed to have sunk in 1540 and, based on its framework, made from soft timber.
Another sunken Chinese barge 'Longquan' was found in 1996, thought to have gone down in 1400.
It was found 63 metres under the sea and 23 nautical miles from the Terengganu coast.
"The vessel was believed to be from the Ming Dynasty era between 1368 and 1644. With a size of 30 metres long, the barge was the biggest shipwreck found in South China Sea," said Ibrahim.
Ibrahim added that about 40 per cent of the ceramics found in the sunken vessel were believed to have come from China, another 20 per cent from Sisatchanalai and an additional 20 per cent from Sukhothai.
"The discovery of ceramics in the ship wrecks has an important historical relevance. Archaeologists had earlier thought that Sukhotai was only exporting ceramics on a small scale, as compared to Sisatchanalai. But it turned out that Sukhotai was a major exporter of ceramics in Southeast Asia at that time," Ibrahim stated. — Bernama
